Bienvenue sur la Route du Sel
la route du sel vue de Giens

Welcome on the Road of Salt, la Route du Sel,

La Route du Sel is the road joining Giens to Hyères . This road, along the Almanarre beach, is a magic place, where meet families, windsurfers, kitesurfers, rollers, joggers, cyclists, lovers of birds and nature. Closed to cars during winter, it is busy all the time whatever the weather. It is a major meeting place of Hyères.

You will find in this site our good and bad adresses on Hyères and the surroundings: Port Cros, Porquerolles, the  Giens peninsula.

WARNING: my tailor is rich, but my English is not so good, so, do not hesitate to correct me and the Google translator at laroutedusel@gmail.com

We give some tips on  restaurants (more than 50 restaurants tested by us, we are translating our advices to English, beginning by the best ones),  on the numerous  deep sea diving possibilities, on the  places for windsurfing or kitesurfing, on the  walks to make along the sea shore and in the town. Look also  to the birds visiting our salins. You may be less interested in  the Town problems
or in the helicopter noise problems .

You will also find several useful links, including weather forecasts for Hyères and the gold islands.
